Since 1982, MOBY has released an epic 12 LPs, 59 singles/EPs, 13 compilations, 7 DJ mixes, 5 video/DVD releases and has worked on over 1,500 collaborations with varying artists like Lou Reed, New Order, Bono, Public Enemy, Slash and even David Bowie.

MOBY describes the inspiration for his latest offering on his Souncloud page:

“I don’t sleep very well when I travel and as a result I tend to be awake in cities when everyone else is asleep. That’s where this album comes from. It was primarily written late at night in cities when I felt like I was the only person awake – or alive.”

Destroyed is out May 16 via Mute Records and comes with a book of MOBY’s photography from his travels over the years. At the official Destroyed website you can check out all the photos and listen to the album AT THE SAME TIME.

Lastly, check out the music video for ‘The Day’ featuring some demon on babe action. The role of babe is played by Heather Graham:
