Sufjan Stevens: Pleasure Principle [Acoustic]

Yes, more Sufjan Stevens and this one is sure to give you goose-bumps all over.

He dropped into New York radio station WNYC on Friday for an interview in the lead up to his final Age Of Adz performances. During the IV he performed an acoustic rendition of the final three minutes from the epic 25-minute Age Of Adz closing track, ‘Impossible Soul’. The excerpt has been dubbed ‘Pleasure Principle’ and features Sufjans’ live back-up vocalists/dancers as well as an accompaniment by Bryce Dessner of The National on guitar:

He’s so dreamy.

Check out the entire 20-minute WNYC interview below where you will hear all about the inspiration behind Age Of Adz, an acoustic version of ‘Heirloom’ taken from Sufjan’s 2010 All Delighted People EP as well as a freaking beautiful acoustic version of ‘Futile Devices’:
